The Cheap Chica’s Guide to Style: Secrets to Shopping Cheap and Looking Chic
By: Lilliana Vazquez | Pages: 336 | Price: 25.00 | Rating: 4 of 5

I initially decided to purchase Vazquez’s book after watching her segments on the Today Show and checking out her fashion blog.  I really enjoyed this book and found it very detailed and informative on how to develop your own personal style without breaking the bank.  Unlike most style guides written by fashion bloggers this book actually provides information not found on her site!

What I Wore:  Four Seasons, One Closet, Endless Recipes for Personal Style
By: Jessica Quirk | Pages: 144 | Price: 18.00  | Rating: 3 of 5

One of the first fashion blogs that I ever read was What I Wore by Jessica Quirk.  Wanting to support Quirk I went out and purchased her book back in 2011.  I enjoy Quirk’s down to earth style and her ability to sew her own clothes and this book provides a nice overview of her personal aesthetic. I gave this book a rating of three out five, because there’s nothing really new or ground breaking in her book.  If you like her style and want a basic personal style book, then this wouldn’t be a bad one to grab.

Cupcakes and Cashmere: A Guide for Defining Your Style, Reinventing Your Space, and Entertaining with Ease
By:  Emily Schuman | Pages: 176 | Price: 19.95 | Rating 1 of 5

I have read Cupcakes and Cashmere off and on over the years so I was interested to see what type of content she would put in her book.  If you have read her blog, then there is no real need to purchase this book (hence the one star rating).  It honestly felt like she just recycled old blog content and added some more pictures.  The pictures aren’t even that great.  I didn’t bother to purchase this book and honestly neither should you.

Have you guys had a chance to check out these three book?  If so, then did you have the same impressions?
